As the issue of plan parenthood resonates statewide, YSL will be engaging Ms. Destiny Lopez Director of Latino Engagement for Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) in a live telephone interview. The interview will take place Saturday around 12:05 pm.
Ms. Lopez will be speaking on Planned Parenthood and also on Móvil (Planned Parenthood en Español Móvil) an online service which receives 24 million visits per year from members (not all of which are women) but individuals who want to get information about family planning services. A service critical to Latinas because Latinas have lower screening rates for mammography and Pap tests than non-Latina, white and black women.
Hopefully Ms. Lopez will be able to share with us how these over-the-top discussions statewide have or have not affected the process of the PPFA.
