The dialogue in this film is a bit clichéd yet laughable and the stunt work amazing. There’s one chase scene that will have you rooting for both the cops and robbers. However, the movie is far more concerned with style, architectural, pretty faces and wardrobe, rather than substance. There just wasn’t enough meat to make it worth your time.

Fashion/Beauty...
Fall Fashion Classics!
September 4, 2010
A great tailored jacket! Make sure it’s fitted to show off your feminine curves as this jacket will pair with just about everything from work trousers to jeans. Steer clear of those baggy masculine styles. A more tailored look will add structure to your figure: giving curvy girls more angular lines, creating a slimmer waistline for those boyish figure types while smoothing out lumps and bumps for all other shapes. Pick out fabrics like tweed, corduroy, denim or menswear plaids; or go grand with velvet, leather, and brocade.

A crisp long-sleeve white shirt is ideal for any fall wardrobe. The varieties are endless — cotton with stretch, fitted silhouettes, cuff and sleeve details collar variations — no matter the selection each works well with cardigans to jackets or just on their own with any wide-leg trouser.

Pantsuits may be this season’s best choice in power suits for the working woman. Not only are they perfect for the office but they also pull their weight after hours when paired with a silky camisole and heels. A solid black pantsuit is by far the most flattering and the most classic. Look for a fabric with drape nothing too stiff or shiny but with some stretch for comfort.

As necklines come and go the turtleneck sweater has earned its place as a classic. Here's why:

• The turtleneck draws attention to your face.
• If you don't like the bulk of a turtleneck consider a mock turtleneck as another option. It's the same height the difference is that the fabric doesn't fold back over.
• Stick with cozy, touchable materials for your turtleneck sweater because you don’t want anything itchy or scratchy on your neck area as it can be unbearable and more importantly you don’t want to be tugging at it all day or night.
• The black turtleneck is the ultimate because it creates a clear clean palette to show off wonderful necklaces, cuff bracelets or just your pretty face.

A neutral coat is a must for the season, especially one in a camel color. Not only is it an enduring fall classic, but it also has many possibilities.

Knee-high boots make great sense for fall because they let you get more wear out of everything from skinny jeans to miniskirts. Choose a mid-heel height for the most trend-proof look (something 2 inches or less). Brown boots are a great choice if you wear lots of denim BUT black boots pair with almost everything.

Accessorize by adding some bold oversized feminine pearls and layer them. Pearls are the perfect trend-proof accessory to compliment even the more structured styles of fall. Wear charcoal gray pearls mixed with black for a sexy tonal look; or choose layers of creamy white pearls worn with a simple black sheath dress for a perfect evening look. However, if you want a more edgy form wear a leather sheath with the pearls. No matter what style of dress you use the pearls will undeniably add that extra oomph.

Large leather bags will serve you well with the onset of cooler weather because you’ll be able to carry everything you need comfortably (umbrellas, wraps, whatever). The leather bag doesn't have to be boring either as there are many styles to choose from — logo types, patent, exotic skins, quilting, bold hardware, bright colors and much more — but the most classic looks have a ladylike feel to them and understated luxury, unlike those in-today/out-tomorrow bags. It's one splurge you'll be smiling about simply because you’ll get lots of mileage on your investment.

The Sports Section...
Major League Baseball – The National League Pennant Race
We continue this week, talking about the Major League Baseball playoff race. Our focus will shift from the American League to the National League, as things really start to heat up.

In the National League’s Central division, the bats have really been connecting for the upstart Cincinnati Reds as they extend their division lead to 7 and a half games over the struggling St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals were a pre-season favorite to win the Central, but the Reds have other plans.

In the East division, the Atlanta Braves cling to a 3 game lead over the Philadelphia Phillies. The Braves were unable to capitalize on a dismal performance by the Phillies who lost four straight games to Houston. The Phillies have been in the World Series each of the last two years and now find them self in an unfamiliar spot, fighting just to make the playoffs.

The San Diego Padres have a 4 game lead over the San Francisco Giants for the 3rd automatic playoff bid, as they lead the National League West division.

The winners of each of the three divisions earn an automatic spot in the National League playoffs. The 4th and final spot is up for grabs in the wild card race. The team with the best record out of all non-division winners in the National League will take that spot.

Currently the Philadelphia Phillies are leading the wild card race by 1 and a half games over San Francisco. The Colorado Rockies are in third, trailing the Phillies by 4 and a half games.

That is all for the sports section for this week. More next week from the amazing Anthony!

Mmmm Recipe...
New York Strip Steak
This recipe calls for a great cut of New York strip steak not overly lean so it stays juicy during cooking but delivers great full flavor and meaty texture. Combine it with a flavorful simple Red Wine Sauce and a delicious side of thick-cut Parmesan French Fries and you have one delicious meal. The red wine sauce gets a boost from sliced shallots, and slow reduction concentrates flavors.

WINE Suggestion:
2005 Hall Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley ($40)
2005 E. Guigal, Côtes du Rhone ($10)

Yields: 4 servings • Total Cook Time: 30 minutes • Prep Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
2 lbs New York strip steak
4 russett or Idaho potatoes
5-6 cups of vegetable oil
3 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
1 cup red wine
1/2 cup beef stock
1/4 cup grated parmesan
1 large shallot
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsps parsley

Directions:
1.) Preheat oven to 400 degrees and season steak on both sides with salt and fresh pepper. Peel potatoes and cut into long, thin strips. Slice shallot into rings. Chop parmesan.

2.) Melt butter in a sauce pan, add shallots, and stir until they soften.

3.) Add wine to deglaze the pan, using a wooden spoon to dislodge any browned bits and dissolve into sauce. Add beef stock and tomato paste. Simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally.

4.) Heat vegetable oil over high heat in medium-sized pot. Fill until about 2" of oil are in pot - the amount needed will depend on the dimensions of your pot.

5.) Check that oil is hot enough by carefully inserting one test into oil - if it bubbles, it's ready. If it doesn't, increase temperature slightly, wait and retest. When ready, slowly add potatoes since oil will increase in volume. Stir occasionally for 20 minutes or until edges are nicely brown.

6.) In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Place steaks in skillet and sear 1 minute on each side.

7.) After searing, move skillet to oven to finish. Steaks will take 12 minutes for medium rare. If preferred more or less done, adjust cooking time.

8.) Strain fries from oil and dry on paper towels. Lightly salt then toss with parsley and parmesan.

9.) Let steaks rest, then slice, plate with sauce and fries, and serve!

Health....
Can Autism be Detected in Infants 6 Months Old?
A new study reveals that scientists may have uncovered signs of autism in 6-months old babies. Though the report is still uncertain, it is best to be aware of the warning signs so that you can alert your pediatrician if you notice them in your baby. Here are a few possible warning signs to determine if your child’s development warrants further testing by your pediatrician.

By 2 to 3 months, your baby isn't making frequent eye contact.

By 3 months, he isn't smiling at you and the sound of your voice.

By 6 months, he doesn't laugh or make other joyful expressions.

Around 8 months, he isn't following your gaze when you look away from him towards something else.

By 9 months, he hasn't begun to babble.

By 1 year, he isn't consistently turning to you when you call his name. He shows a general disregard for vocalizations (i.e., lack of response to his name), but has a keen awareness of environmental sounds. Also, he isn't engaging in back-and-forth vocalizations with you, hasn't begun to wave bye-bye or he isn't "following a point" (looking towards something you point at).

By 16 months, he has no words.

By 18 months, he isn't pointing to things that interest him.

By 24 months, he has no two-word meaningful phrases.

At any time, he shows a loss of any of his previously mastered skills.
