Highlights of Today’s Show...
November 7, 2009
It’s no wonder the Yo Soy Latino Radio show is increasingly becoming the best talk radio in Florida. The studio was just a humming, the banter fun and exciting. What a great way to start your Saturday afternoon!

Jose begins with his customary greeting, followed by the national news, trivia, movies and new releases, stogie picks, then sprinkles an OOOO-lala oh that is so French to today’s wine selections. Afterwards, turns his attention to Haydee for some fashion suggestions.

After a brief intermission, Jose then gives a gracious warmhearted welcome to the one and only Dr. Letitia Wright who graciously agreed to return to the Yo Soy Latino show. Since Dr. Wright’s last visit her show The Wright Place™ TV Show, now in its 10th season, has developed into the fastest growing television show about business on the air.

What is more, Dr. Wright has co-authored, “The Power of Mentorship for Creating Wealth”, “The Power of Mentorship for the Woman Entrepreneur”, “Power of Mentorship for Passion and The Power of Mentorship to Create Wealth” in addition to being the producer of a new film, “The Power of Mentorship Movie”.

Though Letitia has garnered many awards and has ranked #33 on the 50 Most Influential Women in Social Media, it has not changed her optimistic and energetic spirit. She remains as charming and delightful as ever. As the interview continued Dr. Wright in reflection speaks lovingly of her maternal grandmother who was instrumental in cultivating her time-management talents at an early age, which today has proven to be invaluable and the driving force behind her determination to succeed.

As the hour moved forward, Jose presented Dr. Wright with yet another question, “What is Pomwe?” and she replied, “The Power of Mentorship for Women Entrepreneurs”! This was a focus on women creating a forum where they can gather and get information needed to start their own businesses, which later encouraged her book, “The Power of Mentorship for Women Entrepreneurs”.

Jose then presents Dr. Wright with a situation. A young girl in high school about 15-16 of age who’s just starting out and looking on to her college years has an idea and is looking to get a business off the ground. What would you recommend?

Dr. Wright explains that anybody young who’s starting to think about an idea and they just don’t have all the necessary resources available to them should first look at their idea. Does the idea have merit? Is there a market for it? Are they truly passionate about it? In other words, do they have the excitement to make it happen? It should be a thought that can be bought to fruition. Otherwise it remains a thought.

Then connect with someone who can mentor you but make sure this is something you’re going to enjoy and remain with. Also, know your perfect market, i.e., if it’s a woman who drives a Camaro and makes $45K then that’s your market. You’re still going to get both, men and women. But it’s important that you know your target audience so that you are not wasting precious time and dollars.

This show was electrifying! The Vogue Report...
Update Your Fall Wardrobe with Accessories
November 7, 2009

Don't let the economy get you down. If you are on a limited budget like most of us, it doesn't mean you can't look fabulous. With these five basic accessories, you can update your wardrobe without spending a bundle.

Mixed Metals Necklace. No one says you have to wear diamonds and pearls to look good. This season a bold statement necklace can really update your whole look. Choose fashion jewelry, including bib necklaces, big pendants and chunky beads. Another terrific trend is mix metal jewelry. These chunky necklaces in mixed metals usually are under $100.

Skinny Belt. A belt can pull together your whole look. Get a skinny belt and wear it over everything from ruffled blouses to fitted blazers to slouchy sweaters. You can find faux patent belts for under $10 anywhere.

Snakeskin Handbag. Snakeskin is one of the hottest and dangerously stylish exotic skins blends of the season and this handbag can complement almost any outfit. You can carry a snakeskin bag with everything from a simple black dress to jeans and a sweater. Other colors like purple and yellow works surprisingly well as well especially with a lot of colors including black, grey, brown, navy, green and several other fall colors. No matter the choice pick a bag that works with the staples in your wardrobe.

Ankle Boots are versatile and fun. Of course, there are several varieties just pick the one that best accents your wardrobe. And don’t forget the Bakers Sandal. We live in Florida so you’ll still be able to wear these sexy and hot sandals in faux-leather through the season.

The Fedora is back this season and you don't have to spend a fortune to buy one. Look for a Fedora at your local thrift shop, where you can find great bargains on vintage clothes. Macy's also offers several fedoras that are really cute and cheap, including this version by Nine West for just $36.

Also, shop the sales. It may seem obvious, but if you want to save money on accessories, keep a look out for sales. In addition to flyers in your local newspaper, visit the websites of your favorite department stores and sign up for sales alerts by email. So you’ll be able to go from sporty to flashy easily because each accessory adds a hint of rebellion to the boldest styles.

Next week prepare yourself as Jose and Haydee and the YSL team return with yet another lively and entertaining broadcast. Their guests will be Jim West a popular and well sought after therapist and Dr. Dale Salatich a brilliant surgeon in the area of dermatology.

Join YSL as they chat with Mr. West about unique ways of connecting with our young adults; and, Dr. Salatich who has spent many years in the medical trenches, dealing with the glories and the disasters of our health care system. So come back next week and share that cup of coffee with Jose and the crew.
