Prince of Persia...
Review Summary
The "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time," is rather entertaining in a chaotic sort of way. Actually, there’s not much of a storyline here. However, it does goes out of its way to reference more recent political events. In the opening, the Persians invade a holy city to seize weapons of mass destruction and the movie's most engaging character is an ostrich race promoter who spews anti-government and tax rhetoric straight out of a tea party rally.

The "Prince of Persia" truly combines the mythical swagger and bravado of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" while adding some of the computer-generated visual effects similar to those in “Clash of the Titans.” The plot centers on a magical dagger, which in the wrong hands will unleash Armageddon. Overall, this film is sort of fun if you like video games. However, I would have to give it a YSL rating of 2 ½ stars.

Highlights of Today's Show...
Interview with Ramon A. Ojeda
June 5, 2010
ORLANDO, Fla. — Today’s show was filled with good-nature amusing mayhem as boys will be boys impressing their playful talents on the air. YSL’s host Jose Miranda and our very own engineer Raul engaged in some colorful amusing banter that just didn’t stop throughout the first-half of the hour. The Lady of the airways our co-host Haydee Ayala was away handling family matters which entailed the christening of her granddaughter but she did provide the team with a full program.

Regrettably, our distinguished guest, Ramon Ojeda, the President of the Hispanic Chambers of Commerce in Metro-Orlando was a no-show for this week’s program. However, that did not perturb Miranda the least bit as the show continued smoothly without a hitch and, before long Jose and Raul returned to that hot button topics, politics — discussing in part the issue of former GOP leader Greer who was charged with six counts of fraud and grand theft, to the situation involving the White House the oil spill and BP then on to the unemployment issues of 170,000 people losing their benefits to the events of South Carolina. Where a sitting U.S. Senator made a remark about the female Gubernatorial candidate who happens to be of Indian decent said "We already have one rag head in the White House. We don't need another one in the Governors mansion”. This latter issue set off a lively debate with our listeners about the silent 300 lb. gorilla called race.

Even though some topics can be hot YSL offers an open forum for all to unlock their views whether we agree or not, we can agree to disagree.

So come back next week and join Jose, Haydee and the YSL team as you just don’t know what you’ll be missing.

Don’t forget now, if it’s Saturday and Noon time fix those radio dials to the BIG810 WEUS AM because it’s time for the Yo Soy Latino radio hour.

Fashion...
Pinup Perfect!
June 5, 2010
There are plenty of high fashion designer swimwear this year. No fluff, definitely striking and some are out right hot. You can choose from a variety of patterns like hearts, multi-stripes, island floral, animal prints, polka dots even the typical checks all the way to neutrals and deep bold colors like orange, magenta, lilac, yellow, green, blue to a more muted gray or your classic black — there’s such a huge pallet of colors this year to select from.

So if you are heading out to the shore this weekend, make sure you prepare for fun as you throw yourself into the latest selection in swimwear and swimwear separates — from tanks to high waist swim bottoms, shorts or skirts, high cut bikinis and thongs to the one piece more vintage Esther William’s look (for those of you unfamiliar she was an actress in the 50s know as the bathing suit pinup and America’s sweetheart, this particular style is a halter neck with gathered sides, skirted front with full short bottom back) which is becoming quite popular.

You will definitely look pinup perfect in one of these playsuits or swimwear. Also, don’t forget those cover ups for those of you who are a bit shy and would rather shadow your swimwear. Accessorize! Add a sarong to your ensemble.

You can also stay glam this summer with your sunglasses, a straw beach hat and bag that will look adorable beside you as you catch those rays while you watch those sea gulls guide you into another world, perhaps in the direction of the opposite sex. So prepare to do some frolicking as you immerse yourself in the sun in your stunning bathing suit listening to the wind while you enjoy the food and good company.

Remember summertime will never look sexier and swimwear should not only bring out your skin tone but it should also compliment your body shape! So when you slip into that bathing suit it should be a style that flatters all of you then you’ll find yourself flaunting those curves while taking in that breathtaking panoramic view of the sea. BUT, don’t forget to safeguard against those UV rays make sure you apply plenty of sunscreen.
