Get Him to the Greek...
Review Summary
"Get Him to the Greek" is an extremely vulgar yet very funny comedy. Taking an unexpectedly and sincere approach about the thing that matters most in a relationship, trust.

At one point, in a limo heading to the "Today" show, Snow (played by Russell Brand) wants very much to drink and get high before bickering with Meredith Vieira. Except, Aaron's job (played by Jonah Hill) is to prevent this from happening. Nonetheless, as Snow gets increasingly drunker, Hill's nauseated reactions are without a doubt priceless. Hill and Brand actually make the ‘perfect’ odd couple. The beauty here is that the script does make time for its supporting actors, which in my opinion is good thing.

Overall, I would have to say the movie (regardless of the strong sexual content, the drug use throughout, and the pervasive language used) is a good comedy. However, I must note that this film is not for the squeamish or young adult because of its notorious dialogue and suggestive nature. So in light of this we'll give this film a rating of 3 stars.

Highlights of Today’s Show...
Interview with Paul Partyka
June 12, 2010
ORLANDO, Fla. — The vibes in the studio were incredible giving way to the already high octane that comes from a lively talk show filled with such great talents such as Haydee and Raul but of course the rest of the energy comes from Jose.

Last week YSL ran out of time leaving a bit of a cliffhanger ending. But, host Jose Miranda reminds listeners that it’s ok to disagree as long as one maintains civility in the process. Discussions of issues can be tricky and though individual expressions are always welcomed one has to consider the proper form of etiquette — being polite while keeping views positive. It is then that we allow ourselves to keep a mutually respectful attitude while keeping the political pulse in Central Florida alive and well.

Moving right along in this fast pace environment, Jose delves right into Haydee’s straight talking movie box office hits and possible misses. This week’s conversation by YSL’s co-host is the movie ‘Get Him to the Greek’. Haydee states, in spite of the strong sexual content, the drug use right through, and the pervasive language used, it is a good comedy but could only give this film a 3 star rating though she felt it only merit a 2.5. After that Jose goes on to discuss cigars with Alan from the Ol’ Times Smoke Shop in Casselberry. Of course the show would not be complete until the microphone is turned over once again to Haydee for her take on fashion.

Meanwhile, sitting on the opposite side of Jose is the incomparable Paul Partyka. Mr. Partyka is one of the rare few among YSL’s guests to have the guts to stand up for what he believes. Partyka who is running for the Democratic Congressional seat in Florida’s District 24 against the incumbent Suzanne Kosmas D-New Smyrna was quoted as blasting Ms. Kosmas for not attending a rally of Brevard aerospace workers. Since then he has challenged her to a primary debate in the House District 24 race but she has yet to respond. It is Mr. Partyka’s belief that voters deserve to hear both sides in order to make a clear choice.

Jose then directs his attention on the question of the Arizona immigration law that seems to be a topic for consideration in the state of Florida. Partyka quickly mentions that he himself is an immigrant and he worked very hard to learn English to become a citizen so he appreciates the many concerns that have emerged from this. However, he noted that this decision shouldn’t be left for the state as this is a Federal matter. This is one candidate with both feet on the ground and a strong conviction for change. It’s good to see a candidate put his cards on the table. Letting our listeners know exactly what to expect from him, if elected.

To reach out to Mr. Partyka you can email him or go online to his websites: paul@paulpartykaforcongress.com or www.paulpartykaforcongres.com. However, if you choose to connect with him on his mobile, please call at 407.341.0805.

Fashion...
Chic Beach Bags Under $50
June 12, 2010
With the summer weather upon us it's time to consider that cute tote you just can’t do without. So before heading out to the sandy shores, you’ll need a sturdy, perhaps even colorful, tote that will be able to cart away all of your preferred items: a magazine, towel, your cell phone, glasses, sunscreen, wallet, maybe something for the evening and most importantly, snacks.

Whether you prefer the lake or the ocean, a pool or a pond, one thing is certain the roomier the tote, the better the bag. Newportnews.com offers a textured cotton canvas bag that’s unbelievable and all for $44. Roxy also offers an adorable Picture Perfect Bag which is quite stylish and, at an affordable price of $32. Of course, there’s the Big Buddha Santorini Tote for about $48 or the Liberty of London for Target Billboard Bag which is cute and sassy for $38 to the Ciarra Mexican Blanket Bag about $34.50. But let’s not forget the Cappelli 480 Giraffe Print Toyo Bag at Endless.com for $32.

These bags are incredible and at these prices you won’t want to limit yourself to just one, but who says you have too. Use them throughout the summer months. So throw on your stunning swim suit and set sail looking fabulous and your budget intact.

Well, that concludes our program for today. And, as you can clearly see it was quite a show. For more excitement and lively discussion, come back next Saturday and listen to the YSL radio hour with Jose, Haydee and the YSL team. Don’t forget as the clock strikes 12:00 Noon it’s time for the Yo Soy Latino show.
