Highlights of Today’s Show...
December 12, 2009
Amidst the shuffling of papers we could tell that something was brewing way before we went on the air as Jose announced, “We have an unexpected guest at YSL today!” And with that said, he made known that our surprise visitor would be the one and only Cris Franco comedian extraordinaire. Suddenly, you heard the rows of laughter rising as we laugh and laugh and laugh because we all knew that today’s show would be packed with mischief.

As Jose begins the hour in his own inimitable and fearless way greeting his listeners then shines a little ray of humor on the Tiger Woods’ infidelity dilemma, unquestionably taking the early hour of the show into a far more edgy yet funny climate while throwing in a little slap stick humor merely to remind us that if Woods were not a celebrity who would even care what he did.

Yet the simple truth is that Tiger Woods is a hot topic these days and not for being the kind of man he is on and off the course but for his indiscretions. Perhaps we all should be reminded of a quote by George Orwell, “During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.” So let’s move on to a newsworthy topic as Woods openly admitted his transgressions. He’s not the first who’s fallen from grace nor will he be the last.

Jose recovers after some light banter and leads his audience into today’s trivia, followed by the top ten movies and new releases, to stogie picks, then on to today’s wine selections. Afterwards, turns his attention to Haydee who just happened upon some neat fashion wear to give any Diva a more curvaceous figure under that ideal holiday party dress. So if you have that perfect dress for the holidays but would like to camouflage those unsightly lumps and bumps after indulging in your Thanksgiving feast, well here are a few ideas to slim and trim your body for that perfect dress.

A spanx strapless hide and sleek for about $72 can give your look a more slim and sexy approach. It conceals lines, slims figure, while giving top light support. Also, don't think you can't show off your back in a sexy backless dress because bra-less is not your style! So ahead and welcome the backless trend back into your life with Maidenform women's breakthrough backless bra priced at about $15-32.

And, for those of you who need more support consider the ‘Yummie Tummie’ tank and hip support, which flawlessly slims your mid-section and hips allowing you to slip into your party dress with ease, while camouflaging those unsightly lumps and bumps. Further, to tone the two hardest areas, the biceps and triceps of course there’s this amazing arm slimmer that will do just the trick from All Tres Sleek Options for about $29.

Of course that left Haydee wide open to some chitchat fortunately she skated right thru it. Now came time for Jose to introduce Cris Franco and what do you think was his first thought but the Yummie Tummie tank and soon everyone lost their self-control and once again laughter filled the room.

This is one heck of a “Generation-Mex” actor/writer/comedian. Cris’ uniqueness is in his ability to pick up on the delivery of any comment and that he did with the yummie tummie. Then goes on to say that today was a special day in California as millions prepare to celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, giving us a 101 History lesson as to why crowds gather at the shrine, which of course he said is a basilica but had this miraculous event happened in 2009 it surely would have been a cathedral. The roars of laughter filled the room.

On screen or off, Cris is one of the most outrageous comedian and you’re guaranteed that he will always draw a crowd. He’s quick witted, entertaining and a barrel of fun. So don’t forget to catch him in January on CITV for Latino 101. To learn more about Cris go to CrisFranco.com and there you will find out just about everything you’ll ever want to know about Cris.

Whew! That was some show. If you didn’t get a chance to hear it LIVE go to our archived shows and play it back and while you’re there listen to our past shows as well.

  1. Great stuff! Surprised Haydee didn't talk about Slimpressions shapewear. What Not to Wear's Stacy London has been recommending this line over and over. Great shaping solves, including those terrible arm flab bat wings! www.slimpressions.com

  2. Thank you for that outstanding remark. I’m glad you appreciate my writings. Yes I am aware of many available garments out there, especially those presented by Stacy London on her show which I happen to enjoy myself. I just thought I’d mix it up a bit. If anything I got you to come online and voice your opinion and it’s wonderful because you gave me your thoughts. Comments are always welcome, but do leave me your email address so we can send you our future mailings. Until then, have a great holiday! Haydee
